The Theory of Evolution As Ideology of Capitalism: a Critical Discourse Analysis Katja Gernhart

The work examines the theory of evolution as ideology of capitalism by means of a critical discourse analysis based on articles published in 2005 in the New York Times, the Newsweek, the Academy of Management Executive, and the Harvard Business Review. The aim is to analyze, if a discourse exists, which uses the body of thought of the classical theory of evolution to describe and justify economic processes. If there is such a discourse, what does it look like and what patterns and structures does it show? In 2013 this discourse is still alive and the topic is still up to date.
