The impact of employee fairness perceptions onorganizational outcomes have been explored by a widerange of research over the last 30 years. Previousstudies found relationships betweenorganizational justice and job satisfaction, organizational commitment, organizational citizenshipbehaviors, and productivity. However, there has beenminimal research exploring the relationship ofemployee commitment to supervisor with organizationaljustice. This book explores the relationship betweencommitment to supervisor, organizational justice, organizational citizenship behavior and intentions toleave. Previous studies show that the relationship anemployee has with their supervisor impacts jobsatisfaction, extra-role behavior, and intentions toleave. This book adds to the literature inidentifying commitment to supervisor as a mediatingvariable in the relationship between organizationaljustice and the dependent variables. The results haveimportant implications for organizations in that therelationship formed between a leader and theiremployees can have far reaching implications fororganizational effectiveness and ultimatelyorganizational profitability.
