Various studies have been carried out on poverty inMongolia, by assessing magnitude and determinants ofpoverty, the effects of the economic transition andnatural shocks. However, there is still room toexplore the poverty change and its components fromstatic and dynamic perspectives, vulnerability topoverty and its determinants, and the impacts of thecurrent economic policies. This monograph, therefore,considers various aspects of the poverty in Mongolia,including estimations of the actual as well asfuture-looking poverty, its distributional and growthcomponents, and trade policy impacts on poverty inMongolia. It provides more up-to-date review of theMongolian economic growth, income inequality andpoverty, using more recent and reliable householddata, and should be useful to scholars, policyanalysts, and professionals, who are particularlyinterested in the performances of the Mongolianeconomy and their latest reviews and analyses.
