Augustine On Natural Theology: Romans 1:19-20 dealsspecifically with his fifty-seven quotations and usesof the Romans text in all his works and with hisinterpretations of those uses. All of the quotationsare reproduced in the original Latin, translated, andanalyzed. The most salient aspect of his use of theRomans text is that the invisible realities of Godcan be seen with the mind in creation. The eyes ofthe body and of the mind are windows through whichthe soul or the mind intuits the truth and perceivesthe invisible realities of God beyond creation. Through an examination of the texts, this work peersinto one of the most philosophical Christian minds ofthe first millennium AD by seeking to understand thebasic premise of both theology and philosophy thatthe nature of the Creator is invisibility andincorporeality.
