Lammert Leslie Dykstra Project Architect of the SkyTower in Auckland and the subsequent Macau Tower hadlearnt about the integration of structure and form. He developed these understandings in hispost-graduate study where he explored theintegration of water and architecture. This book hasresulted from current concerns about global waterusage and the increasing pollution of waterenvironments. It asks the question if water operatesin architecture at either a technical or an aestheticlevel can architecture integrate the technical andaesthetic aspects of water? The research re-examinesthe place that water occupies in architecture todetermine how current practices in architecturecontribute to the pollution of water environments andto an unsustainable usage of water.
