This CD-ROM and book pack provides an introduction to the human brain. The six sections cover the structure and function of the brain substructure, including sections on hearing, vision and speech. The final section provides different techniques for studying the brain. The voice-over gives guidance on the pronunciation of Latin names and the self-testing function allows a continual assessment of understanding. No previous knowledge of neurobiology is assumed. Tools allow the export of text and pictures, and notes can be added individually as required. System requirements: PC with Windows 3.1 or higher; 486 DX; 33 MHz processor; 8 MB RAM; dual-speed CD-ROM drive; MCI sound card and speakers; 640 x 480 display; 32K colours.
