This work is an attempt to provide for insight and tentative guidelines in the elaboration of integrated skills lessons in an EFL and even ESL situation taking concrete examples and experiments carried out in Madagascar: a french speaking country in the Indian ocean where English is taught as a foreign language. It explores the different theories and backgrounds on which the teaching of Skills relies. It also provides suggested lesson plans, material, and guidelines in the elaboration of integrated skills lessons and, to a wider extent, of an integrated curriculum. This book has been written in the hope that it will help teachers of English to be better in their work and attain their objectives.
