Apart from scientific research, there is little written a bout the Sumerians. In this first novel Jean Pierre SEGONNES proposes some original keys of understanding to the main enigmas of our distant past and perhaps even our origins.- 2341 BC - The city-state of Lagash in Sumer is in latent conflict with that of Oumma for the possession of rich cultivated land. A band of mercenaries in the pay of Oumma scours the area of the village of Tergal which controls the navigation on the Tigris River. Three young people fleeing the fighting will find themselves drawn into an epic adventure full of twists and turns and become the last hope for freedom of a forgotten people.
