The Hollow Land is a short story written by William Morris in 1856. It was his first literary work. This epic fantasy tale is a richly imagined story wrapped up in a dreamy layer of intricate, lyrical language. Beautifully written in an imagery, vivid world, the story tells the quest of Florian for the Hollow Land, a supernatural realm which once obtained, will only be half-remembered. There, the narrator met his first love.
