Mevlud's Way is an enchanting journey in the style of magical realism where the imagination and the outside world are recognized by the eye of the inner heart. It is a journey that appears on the outside with the background of its main character arriving from a village on top of a mountain in southern Italy to the metropolitan environment of New York City. But, as all larger than life characters are wont to do the main character, Mevlud, turns New York into the simple environment of a village and his inner life becomes the macrocosm that is served by this city. As he traverses its landscape, he moves with and through characters that point to a life and a love that transcends mundane life as sparked by the divine.
