I wrote and made my illustrations for this book with thought of being a cat with 9 lives. As a woman we go through life in stages where we grow through trials and experiences. Each chapter of this book is laid out in 9 stages and I want the reader to reflect on the stage the poem is written in. My illustrations will further capture the intention and mood of the poetry. This book includes 5 chapters of poetry and each chapter has a theme running through it that reflects my experience with society and life in general.
