Before Sunrise, a Moment of Coldness
Wen Tsao
The two of us quietly watched the slowly changing colors of the sky; however, my heart beat faster and faster, with disordered thoughts. The darkness like a blanket slowly covered the entire beach where we were, and the distant junction of the sky and the beach was getting blurred. "It looks like it's time to go." I reached out my hand to touch his hair. It seemed not appropriate, and I immediately withdrew my hand. "I do not want to move. How I wish I can keep lying here." he said slowly. "I hope so." I thought so. Instead, I smiled and said, "How long do you want to lie here?" "A lifetime." He murmured. My heart seamed to lose one beat. I unconsciously reached out my hand to touch his hair. The indigo in front of us seemed darker and then gradually blurred. Years later, I discovered that the memory is the only time-free existence. In my dreams, I have been lying on this beach with him. We never left.
