Pati and Joe have changed their names to Terri McMillan and Paul Craven. They're fugitives, so they need time, a way to generate funds, and a place to stay. Water Works, Inc. seems the perfect opportunity. Water Works, Inc mines ice blocks and shoots them down to the inner solar system cheaper than launching from Earth. They need workers and don't ask too many questions, if, you sign an employment contract. It would have been a massive mistake, had they any choice. Terri and Paul sign their contracts, and soon they're cutting ice blocks with modern-day chain gangs. If they complain, their bosses can torture them though surgical implants put in after they crash-landed. Their only hope is to escape, and Paul, with the help of their friend Gavroche, implement an escape plan so they can ride out of their slave camp. If it works, they'll travel to sanctuary somewhere in the inner solar system. If not, they can die in space, or even worse if they're discovered.
