Here we have a bedtime story, with pictures, about the gentle night wind making its rounds. Through the woods it travels, across the fields and meadows, past the ponds, and over sleeping towns. On the way, the wind meets all kinds of animals, big ones and little ones, and it has delightful chats with them. For those that are supposed to go to sleep after a busy day, it sings a sweet lullaby. It calms the restless. Nocturnal animals, wide awake, searching for food or busy with social activities, fascinate the night wind. Even the flowers it passes are not ignored. Oh, the night wind has friends in many laces, and it likes to stop to say hello. Off and on, it loves to play games with them. But the visit the wind enjoys most is with two small children to whom it tells a bedtime story about all the wonderful experiences it has had on its nightly travels.
