BEFORE SCIENCE FICTION HAD A HOME The rise of SF (or sci-fi) as a genre was boosted by a new generation of SF-only pulp magazines from 1926 onwards. But science fiction was published (and popular) in the general run of fiction magazines which had their heyday before the 1930s. Literary gems of science fiction published in the general fiction magazines of the early 20th Century deserve a new audience.
