The book discusses the suitability of Megbabat (consensus) Democracy Model to the Ethiopian people. It argues that the application of consensus democracy can help the Ethiopian citizens participate both in determining the political agenda and in the decision-making process itself. Basically, the book is a report on the five-year study on Ethiopian situation covering various issues. Majoritarian and consensus democracy models are discussed. In this regard, experiences of five countries (i.e. USA, UK, Canada, France and Australia) that are inclined to majoritarian model and seven countries (i.e., Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland) that inclined to consensus model are compared.
