Although the text isn't focused on textual research of a theological exegesis, the commentary does try to bring the ideas and assertions made by Abraham, Joseph, Moses and other figures of the pre-covenant founding of the nation of Israel. This book is handy for anyone who wants to read into commentary history as well as to get a good solid look at how the texts of Genesis and Exodus can apply to our lives.
