The Future

Problems of this world got you down?

Smiling outside like the face of a clown?

Commonplace things begin to seem strange?

It's time to change!

Tired of life kicking you in the ass?

Can't move forward because of your past?

Waking up to a new day but tribulations stay the same?

It's time to change!

Giving your heart to those in need,

Only to find that they're filled with greed.

Giving love to the unworthy, now ain't that a shame?

It's time to change!

Giving joy to others when inside yourself there's sorrow?

Providing comfort to your friends when there's none left to borrow?

Just remember as long as there is hope for tomorrow...

There's time to change.




Batteries Not Included

I think I'm broken.

My heart's not working right.

Incapable of falling in love again.

There are pieces missing out of my box.

My instructions tell of the tools needed to fix me, but it seems none can be found.

I've been open to quite a few relationships,

And the package clearly states, "some assembly required."

So why am I not put together?

Why am I not yet whole?

Why isn't anyone taking the time to read my instructions?

They are simple and plain as could be,

I know!

I'm still under the manufacturer's warranty.

So, I searched...

God being my origin, I returned to you broken.

I return to you, not whole.

All I want is to serve the purpose I was created for.

God said, "The power that you need, I'm not in you properly."
