The pandemic is a global public health emergency which impacts on the mental health of the population. It is causing multiple psychosocial problems (unemployment, social and economic), and psychological problems (anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence, alcohol/drug abuse, stress, as well as sleep disorders). For most people with anxiety disorders, the coronavirus alarm can exacerbate this debilitating condition. We see the image of de coronavirus everywhere and this fuels anxiety on people.
