Born on the idyllic island of St. Thomas in the U. S. Virgin Islands, and raised in the small Caribbean country of Dominica, Aisha was seemingly destined for a wonderful life. But because she was abandoned by her father, harbored questions about her mother, and experienced strife within her family, Aisha grew up to believe she was nobody's child.



And as she grew into adulthood, a move to the United States started her on a journey of failed training programs, multiple job changes, poverty, battles with the system, failed relationships, and profound struggles with her own mental health that brought her to the brink of suicide. Yet through it all, Aisha believed there was a better world that she could feel was just ahead.



My Crazy Life is a story of hope, courage, self-help, self-acceptance, and emotional survival. And though it is a story of one, Aisha's experiences will resonate with many.
