"I have had a very interesting life. Personal experiences, curious anecdotes, and keen observations about the humanity surrounding me have found a path to the stories in this book. Despite the disparate geographical settings, there are common strands to the stories I've produced: the failures to communicate concern, friendship, and love on one hand, and the loneliness of middle-aged men on the other.
