The Anvy Pádraig Standún

"Now you see him. Now you don't" "Anvy" is an Anglicised version of the Gaelic word for "animal." (ainmhi) A strange 'beast" stalks a small island community, mainly by night. Is it a mirage? A ghost? A naked, hairy, harmless creature? Is it man or beast? A figment of the imagination? Could it be the mythical, mysterious "pooka" or even the devil himself? Life goes on as the Anvy hovers in the background. Published in the Irish language (Gaelic) English, German, Polish, Romanian and Bulgarian, "The Anvy" deals with the underbelly of suspicion and superstition in a fast changing world in a mostly humorous way.
