Living and loving have become a daily routine. Then distain will strike, like a chord being played by a moody trumpet. It's loud, brass, and harsh, breaking apart what God has put together.

All I can do is sit in wait, as my obsession won't let me leave and I continue to crave him. He makes my body sing; his lovemaking is superlative. My desire for his complete love is so strong.

I can't control my desire for him even when I hate him. His touch thrills me so, yet his attitude and disposition elude me.

All I want is for it to be true, honest, and devoted. Then I ask myself: Is this love or addiction?

About the Author: C. Dale Baldwin grew up in Brooklyn, New York. This is the second novel in a trilogy. The first in the trilogy was A Woman in Love, Deception, and it will end with A Woman in Love, Double-Cross, yet to be published. The author has written two books of poetry, which explore the emotions of the woman in her trilogy, plus three other books. "I am inspired by the ups and downs of relations and marriages that I've been exposed to from friends and family as well as my own. I want to show that love is a complicated thing and that it isn't always pure, true, or good. God touched my heart and told me to write this."
