It would be rare for a person to have gone through their teenage years without having experienced an infatuation that seemed like real love, or being riddled by angst about the futility of life, or having known their emotions intensely to the point that everything appears meaningless. Poetry is the universal expression of the feelings that want to break free. These poems reflect the highs and lows that will find identification with every young person who took a deep breath in the midst of life's most stormy years.
