On Friday, May 13th, 14-year-old Diana Halloran disappears. She takes a short cut home from school through a wooded ravine, and is never seen again. Months later, her shoes are found in Gary Malone's basement. The police search and find more of her clothing. And that's when Malone's nightmare begins. As Morgan begins to recover, he is introduced to her family: her brother-in-law, Frank, and his wife Glenna. They join Irene for cocktail parties all the while condemning her for Jay's death. Glenna is convinced that Jay's death was no accident. The more Morgan finds out about the events of ten years ago, the more he begins to agree--Jay's death was no accident, but who is the real guilty party in this household of death?
