I was the first from my generation of both my parent's side to receive a college degree from a higher educational institution in 1996 from Delaware State University, all because I aspired to be successful. I was able to do this thanks to my talents, education, hard work, ethics, and the desire to see something different for my life and my future. Hence, I secured a four-year Band Scholarship, Track & Field Scholarship, Computer Science Scholarship, Pell Grants, and other Financial Aid assistance to accomplish this lifetime goal. My college journey was not easy, especially since it was the first time I was over 1200 miles away from home in an East Coast culture that was very new to me. I was a southern momma's boy who did not know anything about the fast-paced urban life, but I had to adjust and adapt quickly if I wanted to be successful. I met new friends, faced new challenges, experienced new adventures, and made a lifetime of memories with great people. I did not allow the challenges of my upbringing, the void of things, and the lack of personal support from close relatives to stop my determination to become successful for my next generation. So, there you have it. This is my brief profile for why I qualify to be of assistance to you. But enough about me now.
