How Do I Net Thee Shira Dentz
How Do I Net Thee
Shira Dentz
A diagram of a voice, composed of lyric, visual, and prose poetry with polyrhythms that focus on schisms-within a family, within a society brutalized by racial tensions, and within the space crossed by the transition from fertility to its loss. Formally, it seeks to make a place for the fractured and disparate to cohere. How does one shape this condition? A graduate of the Iowa Writers' Workshop, Dentz has a Ph. D. in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of Utah. She was Drunken Boat's Reviews Editor from 2011-2016, is currently Special Features Editor at Tarpaulin Sky and a professor at RPI. "Shira Dentz's third, color-studded book, how do i net thee, invites an interactive, immersive reading experience."--Adroit Journal "how do I net thee is illuminating and at every turn exponential in aspect."--Iowa Review "Nearly every poem in this book has a nearly physical effect, pushing and pulling the reader linguistically and in relation to the page."--Seneca Review
