The title comes from John McCrae's famous poem 'In Flanders Fields'. The compiler and writer of the introduction is David Roberts, author of the two important war poetry anthologies Out In The Dark and Minds At War. David also runs the warpoetry.co.uk website, a leading source of information about the poetry of WWI.
