PASSport to Success is a parent-training curriculum based on the book Parents Assuring Student Success by John R. Ban. PASSport to Success is designed to show parents what they can do to help their children succeed in school. The curriculum can be used to train parents directly or as a curriculum to train the trainer. PASSport integrates the information, strategies, and activities found in John Ban s book into a structured step-by-step curriculum that includes specific teaching methods, additional learning activities, and dynamic PowerPoint slides for presenting the material to parents. The curriculum covers each of the 8 modules found in the PASS book Parent Attitude, The Home Environment, Study Skills, Homework and Learning Expediters, Note-Taking Skills, Preparing for Tests, Memory and Thinking Skills, and Reading Skills. The curriculum can be taught in 8 separate sessions that cover each module or combined into longer training sessions that cover more than one module at a time.
