Lost in the Night
Stephen Wynn
A woman is raped by someone she knows, but decides not to report the matter to the Police mainly because the man threatens to kill both her and her son if she does. Twelve years later the son dies in mysterious circumstances and the Police are unable to establish the cause of death. As the investigation into the boy's death continues, the historical rape of his mother comes to light. A local man is subsequently arrested on suspicion of murdering the boy, but the Police dont have enough evidence to charge him, so he is released pending further enquiries. Whilst free on bail the man's body is discovered in a nearby river handcuffed to an unidentified woman. Another suspect comes to light for the boys murder putting into doubt the original arrest. Will the Police discover sufficient evidence to charge the suspect and will he stay alive long enough to stand trial.
