Performance evaluation models are viewed as management tools enabling strategic change. One of their features is to represent several viewpoints regarding supply chain organisation (financial, strategy, operations, etc.) hence to enable an analysis in time and space.  This book presents the different models of supply chain performance evaluation for global supply chains. It describes why it is necessary to evaluate global performance both to assess the contribution of the supply chain to achieve the goals of creating value throughout the chain and secondly to meet customer requirements in terms of time, responsiveness and reliability. The book provides an understanding of how evaluation model chosen according to criteria including the level of maturity of the organization, the level of decision making and the level of value creation desired.

The originality of the book is to position the evaluation of the performance for the whole chain from the supplier of the supplier to the customer of the customer. The approach is to describe the different models with a reading grid including value creation, level of maturity and levels of decision making. This book allows managers to understand how to implement the evaluation of supply chain performance. An example of application is given to illustrate the implementation of a performance model.
