Being raised in the loveless environs of an orphanage, April, Susan and Margaret know that their so-called futures will bring no surprises unless they escape. Ill-equipped for life on the outside, they embark upon a plan to seek out their real parents - a plan that will, against all odds, lead them into a decade-long odyssey in the wilds of the Amazon jungle, a journey which toughens their skins and minds, but never their hearts. Their return to so-called civilisation brings more, not less, trouble into their lives, but their bond of love and friendship remains intact, no matter what fate throws at them. Jehoida Samuels was born in the parish of Hanover in Jamaica. After leaving school he trained as an engineer in Montego Bay. He then migrated to Britain where he continued working in the engineering field for twenty-five years. He then started his own company, although ill health forced him in to early retirement. He now spends the time writing.
