When her parents decide to buy a new house in the country, the last thing Olivia expects is that its garden will contain a hidden doorway into another world, but on an ordinary afternoon, while exploring an old summer house, she suddenly finds herself standing in a dark, cold forest. All around her the air is still and dead. Stretching before her is a forbidding lake. In its centre stands an island, from which a sad lament can be heard. Aided by the ancient good magic of the Woodland, which has awoken from centuries of slumber, Olivia and her friends come face to face with some of the Sorcerer's most deadly servants. As their adventures reach a climax, the children find themselves facing questions that go beyond mere physical courage. The Sorcerer's Mirror is the story of four children and a desperate race against time to save the gentle folk of the Woodland from certain doom - a quest fraught with peril, but one that is essential for the survival of their world, as well as our own.
