Who is Henry? He is Mr Beautiful and Handsome. He is the subject of just one of the poems in this charming and perceptive collection. Henry is the old pet dog much cherished by the poet, who finds inspiration in her love for all creatures whether they have fur or feathers or even prickles. Some poems also spring from observations of human life with all its frailties and small joys. Smile at the poet's experience of tea drinking or jam making, for example.
