A series of essays on Eurasian archaeology originating in two EAA symposia held at Goteborg in 1998 and Bournemouth in 1999. Thirty papers discuss theoretical issues within Eurasian archaeology, followed by six case studies of recent excavations and concluding with a number of interpretations of the evidence from the Bronze and Iron Ages. The latter includes discussions of art and sculpture, relationships between different cultural groups, ritual and religion, weapons and warriors, textiles, metallurgy and much more.
