The Wonders of Life List is simple - you do everything that you've been scared to do, all in one summer. What's not simple is trying to do it while grieving. But Poppy is determined to start living her life again. With the help of her sisters and her best friend, Poppy creates her own Wonders of Life List.

That's when Poppy meets Ian. The two form an unlikely friendship when he agrees to help her complete the Wonders of Life List. The friendship doesn't come easy as Poppy's Belfast council estate upbringing is world's apart from Ian's affluent one.

They must fight the social statuses to find what they both need: a friend, a heart to listen, and hope for each other.
