Sadly, this is the final New Writers UK competition for the young people of Nottinghamshire. Since 2009, reading your imaginative and inspiring entries, has been a joy for me and our enthusiastic short-listers and judges. My thanks to all our young entrants, and their families and teachers who have given them so much support. Thank you too to all the councillors, county, borough and district; without your continued backing, the competition would never have continued for so long.

Although this competition is ending, I am confident that in time we will see bestselling authors arise from amongst out entrants.
