A series of short humorous stories about the life of a London Fireman and the life he led in the service. These stories are about the 'hidden' side of the service and may come as a surprise to many.

In todays 'woke' culture many of the stories may seem out of place and some are most definitely not politically correct but the stories have been written about a period when such inhibitions were not as restricting as they are today.

All the stories are true and whilst I found them to be very funny I do appreciate many would see some of the stories as childish and even dangerous. Be that as it may but it was of that era, circa 1965-1990. I was a young Fireman and life was immensely enjoyable. I loved the service and would have, had I needed to, served for little or no pay; it was that good! It gave to me everything I wanted, and needed.

Discipline, danger, excitement and the greatest feeling one could possibly want from a job, complete satisfaction.
