Brian Lardner wrote Vicky Gets a Vaccine during the Covid-19 pandemic. He hopes that his book will help young children overcome their fear of being vaccinated.




Needles! Not everybody likes them, especially Vicky who thinks that they are icky! On the day she would be getting her vaccine, she was terrified beyond belief! With comforting words from her parents and determination in her spirit, she was brave enough to face her fear, and help another child in need. Courage is what Vicky possessed and she was willing to pay that courage forward.




To all children out there who are afraid of needles, do not let fear deter you from the amazing outcome you will experience after. Your health is important, and that "pain" only lasts for a second. If you can be brave for even a minute, you can do anything.
