And the Children Watched is written as a children's book, but it is not a book strictly for children. The book is a reflection of events that happened in 2020 during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The world shifted. Some would say, it went upside down. It was a time of the Great Pause; a time of significant disruption. Yet good things happened. There was a slowing to the pace of our lives, a return to family. We found new ways of communicating through technology (ZOOM calls) in our eagerness to stay connected in this time of disconnection. There were also high levels of emotion that sometimes were hard to witness. And all the while, the children watched.
