The murder of a young mother and her infant son forced peace between the humans and the Sanguinarians. The agreement, known formally as the Covenant, allowed the citizens of New Pangea to no longer fear becoming the next victim of a savage hunt in exchange for legal blood. But with a new threat on the horizon, the treaty won't be enough to sustain the peace. Determined to defend her mother's legacy, 17-year-old Lieve and her two closest companions begin their quest to uphold the Covenant; however, their good intentions to prevent one genocide just may cause another.
