S. possession or territory specified in section 937(a)(1) (generally referred to in this preamble as a "territory") and whether income is effectively connected with the conduct of a trade or business within a territory. The final regulations also provide guidance under sections 876, 881, 884, 931, 932, 933, 934, 935, 957, and 6688 of the Code to reflect amendments made by the Tax Reform Act of 1986, Public Law 99-514 (100 Stat. 2085) (the 1986 Act) and the American Jobs Creation Act of 2004, Public Law 108-357 (118 Stat. 1418) (the 2004 Act).
