This rule establishes the general and specific requirements for HUD approval of demolition or disposition applications, relocation of residents, resident participation in the form of consultation and opportunity to purchase a public housing project, the replacement of units, and a new authority for a public housing agency (PHA) to demolish a small number of its units without a formal application under certain circumstances, referred to as "de minimis" demolition. This final rule follows a December 15, 2004, proposed rule and makes several changes in response to public comment.
