Migratory Bird Hunting - Regulations on Certain Federal Indian Reservations and Ceded Lands for 2017-18 Season (US Fish and Wildlife Service Regulation) (FWS) (2018 Edition) The Law Library presents the complete text of the Migratory Bird Hunting - Regulations on Certain Federal Indian Reservations and Ceded Lands for 2017-18 Season (US Fish and Wildlife Service Regulation) (FWS) (2018 Edition). Updated as of May 29, 2018 This rule prescribes special migratory bird hunting regulations for certain Tribes on Federal Indian reservations, off-reservation trust lands, and ceded lands. This rule allows the establishment of season bag limits and, thus, harvest at levels compatible with populations and habitat conditions in recognition of their authority to regulate hunting under established guidelines. The proposed rule for the 2017-18 season was delayed, requiring this interim final rule to allow Tribes to begin hunting in September. This interim rule will be replaced when the proposed rule is finalized.
