Labor Versus Capital in the United States is a companion volume to Karl Marx and Other Socialists: Problems of Socialism, The Fall of Communism and a Proper Socialism/Ecology, published by Authorhouse. Its main focus is to describe the state of the class struggle between the principal contemporary antagonists: the working class / lower middle class versus the upper middle class and the richest 1 percent in the United States of America. Specific chapters involving the current state of affairs in the struggle between labor and especially big capital include "Increasing Economic Concentration," "Working/Lower-Middle Classes and Poverty," "Social Welfare," "Great Recession," "Unemployment," "Taxes/Budget/Politics," "Left vs. Right and the American Labor's Historical Odyssey," "American Socialism," "Labor/Socialism and Religion" (which should be noted was presented as "Mystery of Religion" in Karl Marx and Other Socialists), "A Proper Socialism/Ecology," and finally, "The 2016 Elections." Throughout the political arena, the economic struggle between labor and capital plays out-both privately and publicly. This work, and its companion volume, attempts to chart past and current courses where, under present capitalist structures, capital has an increasingly obvious and undermining advantage in all spheres of human existence.
