The sentimental education of Emma Bovary also passes through the houses in which she lives. It is a novel by the English writer Jane Austen, first published anonymously in 1815. The fundamental theme of the novel is the misunderstanding in love. The protagonist Emma Woodhouse is described in the opening paragraph of the book as beautiful, intelligent and rich.
