BushidoWritten at the turn of the last century by Inazo Nitobe about the "Way of the Warrior." Nitobe explores the sources of the eight virtues most admired by his people: rectitude, courage, benevolence, politeness, sincerity, honor, loyalty and self-control. It remains one of the most read texts in the study of Japan's legendary Samurai. One other incredibly appealing aspect (to the Western reader) of Bushido is that it was written in English and thusly suffers no loss or content or meaning by translation.
