This is my second book of jail poems, a sort of continuation of A Song and a Prayer. It's called A Horse Named Goddamnit. It's raw and uncensored, filled with hard-edged humor, and people will probably buy it just to burn it. But, the truth is in there. Truth and love and humor and a rough sort of grace. It's about writing, and writers, and love, and social justice and things. It's about racism and hypocrisy. It's about loneliness. It's about being silly and kind. It's also about a horse named Goddamnit. Good strong name. Hell of a goddamn name for a goddamn horse. I love all of you. Love and grace.-dave
