Bay Rumble sails his small sloop to the Florida Keys. He has been hired by an oil millionaire to find a teen granddaughter missing more than a decade, who is connected to Bay's past. In his search he finds himself in a world of murder, larceny, sunken doubloons, and a heroin deal with the Russian mafia that turns deadly. While the girl appears always out of reach, Bay gets caught up in a worldwide girl slave trade business operating deep in the Everglades among crocodiles and alligators.
