Bobby Palumbo is a low-level bagman for the Brooklyn mob and not the brightest bulb on the tree. This is evidenced by the fact that he "borrows" over $200,000 of the Don's money, then finds himself unable to repay it. On the run from mob enforcers, he is lucky to stop in the dying Texas of town of Ecstasy just long enough to meet Frannie Jo Overby, a girl with all the street smarts he lacks. Ecstasy is a fun cross-country romp with two unforgettable characters.
